About Us
Therapy That Starts With Connection, Not Checklists
Because children grow best when they feel safe, understood, and valued.
The Story Behind Five & Two
At Five & Two Pediatric Therapy, we believe therapy isn’t about fixing kids — it’s about building safety, trust, and confidence so skills can flourish naturally.
Our name comes from a simple truth: when a small offering is placed in the right hands, it can multiply into something life-changing. That’s what therapy is to us — planting seeds of progress that grow far beyond the clinic.
Meet Dr. Matthew Young
OTD, OTR/L
Hi, I’m Matthew Young — a pediatric occupational therapist with a heart for helping children and families thrive.
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD), Licensed OTR/L
Licensed & trained in outpatient pediatrics
Specialized in sensory processing, feeding therapy, reflex integration, and play-based care
My journey in therapy has shown me this: children don’t need to be pushed harder — they need to feel safe, supported, and free to explore at their own pace.
That’s why my approach is:
Family-goal oriented — what matters to you matters to me.
Play-based — because play is the most natural way children learn.
Collaborative — I walk with you, not ahead of you, so you always feel equipped and confident.
I bring clinical expertise, but more importantly, I bring a deep respect for each child’s individuality.
Our Philosophy
Every child deserves:
To feel safe in their world
To be valued for who they are, not just what they can do
To grow at their own pace, with the right support
We honor neurodiversity, lean on evidence-based practices, and believe the smallest wins often create the biggest transformations.
